Water & Ink
Welcome to the Writing Collective~
Mission Statement: Water & Ink was built to increase accessibility to the healing and enlightening experience of the “gem of academia,” the creative writing workshop space. The collective seeks to create opportunities for healing, creativity, and transformation through community-building and education in the creative writing workshop.
Values: Abundance, Alignment, Connection, Diversity, Empathy, Equality, Intersectionality, Liberation, and Truth
Vision: We help heal the world when we heal ourselves. They are not separate. Healing is remembering who we really are. Let’s discover, cultivate, and create the next chapter, together.

Water & Ink: Writing & Healing Workshop is supplementary for the healing journey. It does not replace or equate to therapy or clinical treatment for mental illness.
Each workshop course is tailored to its members’ initial goals. For example: if a cohort cares predominately about unlearning societal conditioning around the human body, there will be more time allocated for this subject; whereas, if the cohort mainly cared about getting feedback on their memoirs, short stories, and/or poems, the course will lean in this direction. Fill out our questionnaire to share your goals, aims, questions, and objectives.
*Water & Ink is not affiliated with any religion or religious organization. In this creative workshop, spiritual questions or curiosities are welcome because we recognize that everything is energy. To us, this means that everything is really spiritual, including how/when/why you are reading this material.
Meg Jerit is not a board certified therapist and is not offering clinical therapy. She will require medical contacts (PCP, therapist, counselor, psychiatrist, or other professional contacts) from each participant for safety purposes.
Water & Ink: Writing & Healing Course Description
[Currently available on a 1x1 consultation basis]
Course Start Date: TBD
The Writing & Healing Workshop, taught by Meg Jerit, creates a space for participants to connect, create art from their lived experiences, and cultivate the next chapter. The past self is given voice in the first half of the curriculum and encouraged to dream a song for the future in the latter half. The course begins by establishing the art and science of healing through writing, and will include tools of well-being and integration for participants to gain the greatest benefits. Participants can expect a blend of formal and informal elements of a creative writing workshop: protected vulnerability is the priority. Participants do not have to necessarily identify with having a trauma or something to necessarily heal from to join. Healing is the act of re-connecting with our true selves and is an integral part of all our journeys in becoming and honoring who we really are, on and off the page.
This workshop is for you if you are:
recovering from burnout and need assistance reinvigorating your creativity
seeking an antidote to depression and anxiety (in addition to methods like therapy) through community and art-making
struggling to release the past and need that story to feel seen
feeling ready to write a new story in your own life but need guidance on picking up the pieces / getting started
wanting to discover your true voice on the page and connect with yourself on a deeper level through reading, writing, and sharing
seeking clarity on your purpose and needing the support of a loving community as you discover it
looking to restore mind/body connection
The course is divided into chapters (think of this as a 9 week season as a miniature Book of Your Life) and by the end of it, you can expect to have learned, transmuted, and created something brand new.
Format: Online class that meets once a week with additional weekly 1x1’s with instructor
(Participants will receive recordings of any missed classes.)
