Water

& Ink

Welcome to the Writing Collective

Mission Statement: Water & Ink was built to increase accessibility to the healing and enlightening experience of the gem of academia: the creative writing workshop space. The collective seeks to create opportunities for healing, creativity, and transformation through community-building and education in the creative writing workshop.

Values: Abundance, Alignment, Connection, Diversity, Empathy, Equality, Intersectionality, Liberation, and Truth

Vision: We help heal the world when we heal ourselves. In the spirit of Audre Lorde, we recognize that the personal is political. They are not separate elements of the self. Healing is remembering who we really are. Let’s discover, cultivate, and create the next chapter, together.

A Message from Meg: “Water & Ink began as a seed of a teenage dream. I wanted to help people through writing. Then, my path unfolded, and I learned exactly how to achieve that. The creative writing workshop space teaches us how to transform our lived experience into art. It is a space of deep metamorphosis, craft, and examination of the human condition. As we lean into the specificity of our experiences and create nonfiction, fiction, and poetry, we more deeply experience what binds us as writers and as human beings. The workshop acts like water carving through the earth, smoothing stones. Revision, focus, and flow. Writing is my life teacher, and I hope to offer the gems from these experiences with others.”
