About Meg
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the internet! I’m Meg (not short for anything), and I am a writer, editor, educator, and poet. I have an MFA in creative nonfiction from Columbia College Chicago, and I attended the Kenyon Review Summer Workshop in 2022 and StoryStudio Chicago in 2025. I believe writing is a critical tool for healing and re-envisioning our world. The justice we want to see begins with creating it in our own lives. I offer the skills, wisdom, & experience I have to others as an interdependent vessel of love (and to beat out the gatekeeping!) When I’m not writing, reading, or teaching, I’m imagining a better future for my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, or exploring Austin with my partner and our two dogs.
